People who suffer from acne know that it is no laughing matter. Having bad acne can lead to shyness, under-confidence and insecurity so any product on the market that promises to solve acne problems is sure to be popular. However, if you are an acne sufferer then there is some good news; when you are in the later years of your life, your skin will be wrinkle-free. This is because acne sufferers have oily skin and these active oil glands will be of great benefit in later years when the skin looses its elasticity.

Acne is usually found where the oil glands are more active and where the skin has more pores. The pores are the holes where the body hair comes through, and the oil glands that are around these pores secret sebum. The sebum may be produced in excessive amounts and this combined with any grime that is on the skin, will develop into acne.

The other thing to remember about acne is that it will clear up. Most people do suffer with acne when they are a teenager, but the acne will lessen as you get older, and having wrinkle-free skin in the later years in life is a great thing to look forward to!

Many people will try an array of products to try and get rid of acne. But you do not need to use expensive toiletries or cosmetics to help acne. There are a few basic things that you can do to help clear up acne and calm the skin down. Firstly start with a cleaning regime that you do everyday. By strictly keeping the skin clean, by cleansing toning and moisturising you will help your acne. You dont need to use very expensive products for this; just by cleaning and toning your skin everyday should help with your acne.

The other thing that you can do to help with acne problems is look at your diet. It is always important to have a healthy diet, and this can be of great importance where acne is concerned. Make sure you have a varied diet and eat an array of all of the food groups.

Drinking plenty of water and eating a lot of fruit and vegetables will help not only your health but also your acne. Another great way to combat acne is by doing exercise. Increasing the blood flow to the skin will help with acne, but it is important to remember to keep clean when exercising and shower before and after.

If you make these simple changes to your life you will feel the benefit and you will also see an improvement to your acne. Acne can be a real problem but if you do all that you can by changing what you eat and how you exercise you will soon see an improvement in your acne. Its important to remember that acne does not stay forever, so no matter how bad you think your acne is now, it will get better.br

br
Acne affects people of all ages, all across the globe. However, there is a specific time in human life when acne breakout is considered natural – the adolescence. This is the growing-up age and due to hormonal changes in the body acne is caused.

The common perception that it is essentially a teenagers problem and does not affect the grown ups is wrong. The fact is that it affects as much as 25% of males and around 50% of women of all ages. It means that as many men and women have faced acne problem some time in their lives after attaining adulthood.

Acne does not affect only ones skin but many a time it affects ones mind as well. It is, of course, not related to any mental disorder but it has been found to cause depression in some people. This is primarily because, some people attach excessive importance to looks and since acne affects ones appearance, it makes some of us think low of ourselves.

Blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts are various forms of acne vulgaris. However, they are quite different from each other. Blackheads are caused when the pores in the skin get partially choked. Their black look is not the result of the dirt trapped inside but comes from the melanin secreted by the skin.

Whiteheads are caused by complete blockage of pores, and their white appearance is attributable to the bacteria inside, which causes the sebum to turn in to fatty acid. Papules are relatively small, tender, red spots or bumps while pustules are a little larger, inflamed spots that are filled with pus. They too appear red.

When large, hard bumps occur under the skin they are either nodules or cysts. The difference is that cysts can be infected and deeply inflamed causing lots of pain.

Acne roseaca is another kind of acne, which is similar to acne vulgaris but is still different in many respects. In acne roseaca one experiences skin flushing. This skin flushing may be triggered by a number of things, like alcohol or spicy food. A general redness around the affected area is also seen. However, those suffering from acne roseaca generally do not have blackheads.

If you are suffering from ace of any kind, it is advisable that you approach a specialist at the earliest because there is no point in suffering when the remedy is close at hand./pbr

Causes Of Acne: Can Upset Stomach Cause Acne?

without comments

Author: Ashish Jainbr
Source: isnare.combr
br
Since acne is acknowledged by human beings, many theories in describing its true cause are also put by them. And the search is not exhausted till date. Continuously researchers are coming up with new, innovative causes- that you might not have even imaged for the troubles that your acne was giving you.

The common causes outlined are unhygienic body conditions, excessive oil production from the oil glands of the skin, hormonal imbalance, excessive accumulation of dead skin, stress and tension and over-eating and consumption of oily, fried food. But have you ever given a thought to this: a bad digestive system can also aggravate or be the root cause of acne disaster you are trying to get rid of since long?

To understand this relationship more clearly, lets first put some light on the working of our stomach. Our stomach is the house of all the food we consume. It also houses many acids, enzymes and bases that aid in the total digestion of the food. The food in a semi-digested form, leaves the stomach and travels to the pancreas, small intestines, large intestines and finally to the anus. Through this journey, all the glands help in the digestion process by contributing their share of enzymes.

Indigestion occurs when any one of the enzymes, produced by any one of the glands goes missing. Sample this, for proper digestion of food to take place in the stomach, presence of adequate amounts of hydrochloric acid or Hcl is very important. When there is scarcity of Hcl in the body, the body misses on the absorption of many important minerals. Deficiency of important minerals in the body in turn weakens the immune system. As your body becomes weak, it loses the capacity to fight back bacteria which itself is a major cause for acne problem.

Now when this food in a semi-digested from reaches pancreas, the enzymes present in the pancreas will try to compensate for the loss by producing an increased enzymatic activity. But if pancreas is also deficient in the enzymes content, the food tends to stay there and with passage of time starts producing toxins. These toxins are then evenly distributed throughout the blood leading to impure blood. And presence of impure blood is also one of the main causes of appearance of acne on face and on body.

Therefore the only natural and easy way to fight acne is to follow a healthy and nutritious diet. The food that you munch upon should be easy to digest and should have high fiber or roughage content. Besides, you should try to avoid oily food as much as you can. Water is also a good therapy for treating and fighting acne. Water helps in carrying with itself all the toxins produced during the process of digestion. It is also advised that you should eat regularly without missing on any of the meals. Try to incorporate as many fruits as you can.

Remember the golden rule, a healthy diet plan and a healthy life style is a route to a radiant, gorgeous and problem free skin.br

br
Bumps all over the face, with oily skin and at times dry patches, are not only for the adolescents with raging hormones. There are millions of adults who perhaps never outgrew their problems with acne so that of course tells for many sad and understandably miserable people.

Any teenager or adult with pimples will attest to being in the constant search for methods and ways of attaining effective treatment and prevention of acne breakouts.

But the consoling news is that indeed, there are effective ways of preventing and treating pimples and from my use of them and experience with these methods, it is my hope that you too may find them effective if you currently suffer from pimples and breakouts.

Considering that Ive been in the same boat as many people who suffer from this image distorting skin disorder, I can relate to the desire of acne patients to want the methods of preventing and treating pimples they use to be effective and with zero-side effect laden options.

Well, such choices are oft-times natural and very low-cost so suffice it to say choosing them will be the right choice.

Now, based on my experience and the helpful advice I received so many years back for controlling my acne problems, the first step for preventing and treating pimples is going to have to be to change your diet.

Eliminate all mucus forming and constipating foods including but not limited to

1. Junk Foods.
2. Processed Foods.
3. Animal Dander
4. Most Grains (whole or not)

and replace these with alkaline, and body healing foods (known for their healing and nourishing properties) which include your fruits, leafy and some root vegetables.

This simple (albeit), effective sacrifice will ensure that you get a radiant skin from the inside out AND this with the added benefit of improved health and vitality.
Moreover, need I say such a diet change could very well lay the foundation for healing other ailments that one may be suffering from at the present time.

In addition to the dietetic suggestion above, I recommend that you incorporate the steps below into your daily lifestyle for controlling acne breakouts.
These include:

1. Changing your pillowcases.
2. Applying NOTHING but plain water to the face (cool that is) for rinsing.
3. Avoiding excessive make-up
4. For males, shaving (mostly downward) in the direction of the beards growth.
5. AVOIDING MICROWAVES…trust me, I found out about this the hard way and you will do well to follow suit.

Its been years now since Ive had to deal with bumps and swellings all over my face and suffice it to say, those days are not missed. However, Im glad I went through that phase in my life because now, I can pass the information on to someone else who may need it just as much.

You will observe that there are no gimmicks, no excessive amounts of money to spend and just simple common-sense techniques for getting clearer skin, which by the way you already have.

Its perhaps only waiting for you to unleash it.

These tips above will see that you accomplish that successfully.

We Show You How to Actually Get Rid of Your Acne Using a Natural Treatment

Numerous individuals have tried several different acne treatments without actually having any success in getting rid of their acne. Its sad as dealing with acne is a great frustration! However, its important to understand that its completely possible to clear acne once you realize how to effectively treat it.

Im going to quickly go over why most acne products dont give you results.

Almost all treatments are designed to merely attack existing pimples instead of taking prevention into mind and really attacking the causes of pimples – this is a large problem!. There treatments dont truly treat the problem, they simply try to get rid of one pimple at a time after they have already popped up.

This is a big problem! Theres just no point in attacking one zit if you arent doing anything to prevent new ones! This is a big pet peeve of mine and I see many individuals wasting their cash because of it.

In order to get rid of your acne, you need to use a treatment that deals with all of the causes of zits. To knock out your pimples, you have to treat all of the following – acne causing bacteria, skin inflammation, plugged skin pores and excess oil on your skin.

And its completely feasible. You wont find many useful choices in the drugstores, you can find acne treatment solutions that are formulated to treat each of the causes of pimples. These will act as a system and typically use a few steps to ensure you are fighting the causes properly.

Its impressive how quickly you can see results by taking this path. In less than a week your face will show sizeable improvement and quickly after your skin will be clearer than you might have imagined. Its a fantastic feeling being able to look at yourself and seeing the improvements.

Dont get down if you have made use of products in the past that never worked! You will eliminate your acne once you obtain the right treatment for your skin.

Acne Diets – Three Must-Know Steps to Choosing the Right Diet For Your Body – Become Acne Free Now!

without comments

Author: Harley Molinabr
Source: ezinearticles.combr
br
Many teens and adults struggling with acne often turn to extreme measures for help. Some of these extreme measures come in the form of acne diets. While the idea of an acne diet is great, theres a right way to do it, and theres a wrong way to do it. If you take just anyones advice on the subject, you could end up eating avocadoes, eggs, lettuce, and tomatoes on and off for two weeks for the rest of your life and still not know what caused your acne problem to begin with.

Thats why you must be very careful in choosing acne diets. You can get a lot of acne diet advice online for free, but you get what you pay for. For instance, one diet I found that appears highly frequented recommends that you eat 2-5 egg yolks per day, and also puts restrictions on how you can eat fruit. Do you really want to keep track of eating fruit directly before eating sashimi (sushi without rice)? Or how about tomato-cucumber-avocado salad doused with olive oil for lunch and dinner?

I didnt think so.

So heres three tips to keep in mind to show you how to find acne diets that are right for you.

1. Make sure the diet includes food containing vitamins and minerals such as zinc, Vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, and so forth. I have personally found these to work very well for me, and seeing as I dont have access to unlimited fresh fruits and vegetables, I take vitamin supplements of these instead.

2. Do the smell-check; make sure the diet is not so far out there that it sounds like a complete hoax. If you find yourself having to go to the organic market twice a week to pick up expensive seeds and grains, youre likely barking up the wrong tree. There are far better ways of curing your acne than resorting to an empty bank account.

3. Make sure there is some amount of detoxifying foods or products recommended in the diet – if you dont get the toxins out of your body as you go on the diet, youre not going to get good results.

br
br
pThe last tip is perhaps the most important. You need to cleanse your internal organs out, especially your colon, before your body is going to cleanse your external organ – your skin. The best way to do this is to follow the instructions at a target=_new href=http://www.easyskintreatment.com rel=nofollowhttp://www.easyskintreatment.com/a to a t. This is likely the only way you will find a target=_new href=http://www.easyskintreatment.com rel=nofollowacne diets/a to work. And so, my friend, I wish you the best of success clearing up your skin; I am sure you will get the same positive results I did./pbr

How to Get Rid of Acne Fast – Two Quick Tips

Acne is one of the most embarrassing and depressing skin disorders out there and a lot of people are affected by it. How can you get clear skin in the fastest time possible? Well it is much easier than you think, however, it is a sad fact that people are not told the whole truth about getting rid of their acne. Here are some quick tips that should help clear up your skin:

1. The main rule is to only wash your face twice daily once in the morning and once at night as too many acne sufferers make the mistake of more being better. This is simply not the case and in fact will actually only worsen your acne because it will dry it out. When you have excessively dry skin your body begins to produce extra surface oil which is not what you want. These oils are more then likely to become stuck in your skins pores and more break outs will appear.

2. Diet is very important to acne, however it is not actually chocolate that is going to cause acne problems for you. People tend to believe that they must stay away from chocolate and greasy foods how ever dairy products are the real culprits. These foods contain hormones in them that can trigger the release of sebum in your system which onsets future breakouts. If possible you should limit these foods or maybe try soy as an alternative as they are very similar in nutrients how ever they do not contain the same hormones.

Effectiveness of Blue Light Therapy For Acne Reduction

without comments

Author: Allen Andersonbr
Source: ezinearticles.combr
br
Acne problems plague countless people all over the world. Age, gender and social status are no barriers to a problem that causes concern and heartache for so many people. More recent developments in procedural cures have seen an upsurge in the popularity of alternative methods in treatment. One such alternative which is highly effective and workable is blue light therapy.

In this therapy, also known as blue photodynamic therapy, affected areas of the face are exposed to blue light from a special source (a lamp with the appropriate filament/filter), without the use of creams, drugs or any additional procedures. Since ancient times, the sun has been a cure for acne problems, and now scientists have identified the part of visible spectrum called blue light to the major factor in this.

How this treatment works

Porphyrins are a substance that occurs naturally in the human body, and results from the breakdown of hemoglobin in red blood cells. The bacteria in acne releases this substance and when it is exposed to light of certain wavelengths, there is damage produced from the combination which destroyers the acne bacteria, the Propionobacterium acnes (or P. acnes bacteria). The affected area of the skin is exposed to high intensity blue colored light of a wavelength range of 405-420 nm in order to do this, and is sometimes done after the application of a photosensitizing agent.

The patient is exposed to a blue light lamp for 15 to 20 minutes, usually bi-weekly for a period of four to six weeks. Often, after blue light treatment, red light is also applied as it is seen to activate ATP in skin cells and improve treatment response. The blue colored light also does not cause tanning or skin burn.

Effectiveness

The FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) classifies laser and light therapies as procedure-oriented treatment and considers it as a legal and safe procedure which is effective in treating acne. FDA approved narrow-band, high-intensity blue-light therapy for this purpose.

The effectiveness of a particular treatment may vary with person to person, and the intensity of the problem may require a custom schedule for the blue light treatment, with or without the use of photosensitizes, with varying intensities of the light and a period of treatment that may vary from one to six weeks. However, the effectiveness has been proven through testing and many people now employ the treatment, with dermatologists all over the world conducting regular treatment sessions with blue light lamps. On average, the light treatment produces 75%-80% results over the course of a three month period. In another test, the treatment caused the eradication of all bacteria in the pores of the skin where the rays of light were applied. Particularly, the treatment when conducted using high intensity, narrow band 405-420 nm light has proven to be a much faster and more efficient and even affordable to a great extent as blue light boxes can be used at home over the course of a longer term if required without adding to medical bills.

There are no noticeable side effects in most cases and where present, these are generally minor reactions. These may include temporary changes in the pigmentation (color) of the skin with some swelling and dryness in the treated area possible as well.

Now being widely advertised throughout the world, this is probably the best-known alternative therapy for acne treatment today.

Is Light Therapy An Effective Acne Treatment?

without comments

Author: Tony Buelbr

Light therapy is a great blessing to those that have extreme cases of acne, as they are very successful in treating the condition without costly medications. The improvement of the treatment of chronic acne can change a persons life for the better. Self-esteem is raised and general well being is increased. Depression is lessened as confidence soars with the clearing of the acne infected area.

Light wave therapy uses a high intensity blue light. This light kills the bacteria causing the acne and may help dry up the excess oil that is a large part of the acne problem. It doesnt damage the skin as ultraviolet light can. Laser light waves target two factors that cause acne.

1 – They use heat to damage the oil glands that pour out excessive oil

2 – They work on the bacteria that is present in the pores that cause pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. These treatments cause a minimum of pain and discomfort and promote regeneration of new skin, which is useful to treat scarring.

Light therapy for acne is effective to reduce scarring and to treat the active acne as well. Light laser therapy is a localized treatment, safe, and has no adverse side affects. Its been shown to be as effective on acne problems that other medications and treatment have not done.

A sample study of 30 patients was made who suffered moderate to mild acne. They were placed in a clinical trial and within three months, they had significant decrease in their acne outbreaks.

The treatment consists of the affected area to short bursts of light called pulse dye laser therapy. Initially used to combat wrinkles it stimulated the production of collagen. It also was used to combat scars from severe cases of acne. Doctors were brought in to look at the clinical evidence and agreed that light treatment was successful in treating live acne. A study that was recently published states that a single session of five minutes can have an effect on acne for up to twelve months.

Patients that took part in the study lost over 70 percent of their acne. One patients spots disappeared completely. The treatment is being widely used in private clinics and started out to be costly. As with all new technologies, the price has come down and more professionals are using light therapy in treatments for their patients.

One patient stated the treatments only take about five minutes, and with each treatment her acne was much less visible. Another benefit of using laser light therapy is that is doesnt cause any discoloration of the patients skin. Treatment sessions can last from 5 to 20 and the patient experiences a slight stinging sensation while undergoing treatment. A topical anesthetic can be applied before the treatment and the application of ice was used after the treatment.

Light therapy is still in its infancy and has only been used in the last few years. More work is needed to re-confirm any clinical benefits. Imagine the impact on those individuals in economical terms. Instead of continuing drug treatment, occasional light therapy treatments can be a big help who have moderate cases of acne.

If you or someone you love were afflicted with moderate to severe cases of acne, it would be worthwhile to look into light treatment. Its non-invasive and works in a shorter time than topical ointments and antibiotics. This may be the best thing to happen for acne sufferers in a long time!/pbr
